Nora
Nora asked Gayle Forman:

Do you have any books that you particularly enjoyed as a child?

Gayle Forman I loved Beverly Cleary's Ramona books as a child and I loved them again as an adult when I read them aloud to my daughters. Cleary captures the joys, fears and frustrations of childhood perfectly. But she also writes parents so well. I actually learn how to parent from the Quimbys.

Plus, the books are timeless. Beezus & Ramona was written in the 1950s and while the housewife stuff feels a bit dated, the experience of childhood and family feels very true.
