Goodreads asked Michael Richan:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Michael Richan The idea for my most recent book ("A Haunting in Wisconsin") was sparked by a letter I received from a fan. There are a couple of books that have started this way, so feel free to write me! This particular letter was from someone who runs a B&B in the Midwest, and it started me toward an homage to my 2nd novel, "A Haunting in Oregon," which is also set at an inn -- in that case, a hotel. There are several scenes in the new book which emulate scenes from "Oregon" for that reason.

Feel free to write to me anytime! While I can't guarantee you'll inspire a book, you never know. I will definitely enjoy hearing from you.
