Would you believe I've never watched Friends? I've never seen an entire episode, so although, I've heard about that scene, I've never watched it, so I'm not familiar with the dynamics.
In my limited viewpoint, though, I would say a break is not a break up, and if you're not clear on what the terms are, then you should get them before you do something that could hurt the other person. Taking time and distance to think about your relationship and figure out what's going on in your head is one thing. Using that as a hall pass to sleep around is another. That's not how I understand a break. Just break up with me if you're going to move on that fast.
Now if you both talked about it and decide to date other people during your "time off" from each other, then it's understood. Go for it ;)
It sounds as if Rachel didn't have that understanding. Tsk. tsk, tsk...

I loved AFLAME,I liked Jared before but I loved him in Aflame, the book really do him justice.I'm sad it's over but also happy because you wrote it exactly how it should be to make all of them (and us)happy. I loved Madoc so much, amazingly funny,smart,caring and sensitive in it's own way, he's perfect I also loved Ben but I was sad for him. Have you ever tought about writting about him ?
