I just finished the audiobook for The Bear and the Nightingale. Really loved it. Truly a story I could fall into and get lost in. How did you become interested in Russian folklore? So looking forward to the next book.

Thank you! I had a book of Russian fairy tales growing up that I really loved and I guess that is what got me started. But I took classes on Russian folklore/slavic mythology in college, and I got a degree in Russian language. So my education further fanned my interest I guess :) Next book comes out in December.

Hi! Congratulations on the massive success of "The Bear and the Nightingale." I'm late to the party as usual but better late than never. I'm hearing such great things that I can't wait for the first book to be made available in my country as the synopsis just blew me away. I've been craving an original and beautiful book, this seems just the ticket. I have to ask though, is the book heavy on religious themes?
