Sarah Rhoads asked Kate Quinn:

How formed/detailed is the world of the book your writing before you actually start writing? Do you write anything down? I'm trying to find different ways to make sure I keep my facts straight and consistent.

Kate Quinn I like my world to be as concrete and detailed as possible in my mind before I start writing. Scrivener is useful for keeping track of details, as it comes pre-loaded with detail sheets for characters, locations, binders to slot in your research, etc. I generally do quite a bit of filling-out in those while I'm still in the plotting stage, to help the creative process along.
