Hello! I loved "The Dark Gates" on "The Gods of H.P. Lovecraft", it was the best story on the collection, but I'm not sure if you have more stories on that universe. If so, which one? If not, which of your series would you recommend me to get started? Thanks :)

Hi, and thank you very much! I don't have any more stories with those characters yet, but that story is set in my Ile-Rien world, a generation or so after the end of the Ile-Rien trilogy. I write all different types of fantasy, but since you enjoyed "The Dark Gates," the book I'd recommend for you to start with is "The Death of the Necromancer" which came out from Avon Eos in 1998 but is still available in ebook. It's set in the city of Vienne, and is kind of a la Belle Epoque/Victorian with magic setting. It's a bit like a Sherlock Holmes-ish fantasy-mystery except with the Moriarty figure as the main character. There is a prequel short story to it called "Night at the Opera" which is free at Podcastle http://podcastle.org/story-texts/nigh... in text and audio. It's also in my ebook collection "Between Worlds: the Collected Ile-Rien and Cineth Stories."

Martha Wells:
I have just finished reading the first Murderbot book (and, needless to say, I LOVED it!) One thing that caught my attention from the start was how you wrote Murderbot. I was wondering whether you had started out with a different writing style, such as 3rd POV or a series of internal commands? Also, did you find it easier/harder writing a novel as short as MBD #1? Were there any challenges? Thank you so much!

I just finished re-reading the Murderbot books. While reading, I noticed that Murderbot's character was very similar to asexual (ace)/agender/aromantic. Being ace/agender, I loved how you brought this up early and kept it consistent. Were you trying to align Murderbot with these identities, or was it a coincidence? Either way, I rarely find a character I can identify with like that, so it means a lot to me! Thank you!
