Hi kate!! I love your novels, particularly the mistress of Rome series. One of the big issues I've seen with historical fiction is the white washing and queer erasure of historical figures (ESP! Roman Empire era novels!) your novels are refreshing in that regard, and definitely give women a voice. How does that effect your original characters and what resources on ancient sexuality and race do you use? ,
