Noah asked Kate Quinn:

Hi Kate! Big fan of all your books, as a history major I am always so impressed and excited with all the intricate details and thorough research of every era. I was wondering how do you research the eras you are writing about? Do you pick a time period first and then build the characters and plot? Or do you start with a specific story in mind and go from there? Thank you, and I can't wait to read the Alice Network!!

Kate Quinn It's generally some historical era, event, or person that hooks me first and gives me some whisper of a possible story. Research then proceeds, and the story builds from there--or at least that's how I do it! Glad you've enjoyed my books, and I hope you like The Alice Network!
