Hi, Brian. I've had Sins of Empire on my B&N wishlist for about a month, and I really want to buy it--it's so, so beautiful! You're an author I've been wanting to read for a while, and, coincidentally, I had a conversation about Promise of Blood with a GR friend who's a huge fan of your work. Do I have to be familiar with The Powder Mage's world to enjoy Sins of Empire?

This answer may be coming way too late, but I always wanted Sins to be it's own separate thing; a new entry point to the universe. It depends on personal preference, I think.

First of all: Congratulations on winning the Morningstar Award! -Was Beon's words about the story having a a sad ending foreshadowing Tamas' fate? -If the gods left the nine to explore the cosmos does that mean there are other planets with life in them? Could a future book of yours take place in the same universe as the Powder Mage books but in another planet?

Hi Brian, During reading of Powder Mage trilogy I have became fan of inspector Adamant. Do you plan any new novels with him ? Maybe some more crimi novels with him some else and powder magic, intrigues ? Seeing him finally trying to catch Proprietor would be awesome !
