I finished Skyborn a few days ago and I loved it so much I bought Fireborn right away and I've almost finished Fireborn, my question is, what gave you the inspiration for the aerial combat style, as well as the equipment used during combat in the Seraphim series?

David Dalglish The short answer is growing up watching too much anime and reading too many comic books. If you go back and watch some of the battles in, say, Gundam Wing, you'll see a lot of my inspiration: the heroes diving past one another while wielding both melee weapons and ranged firepower. I wanted a more controlled magic system, and I wanted that same melee combat, so everything just naturally built out from there.

How do you go about writing a novel. I always end up getting off track when writing and my story takes a turn for the worst and I do not like where it goes. Any insight on how to keep the story on track?

Recently I've been reading your Shadowdance series, A Dance of Ghosts. I'm still waiting for six to emerge. But as I read the first few I had several question. Did you ever plan for Haern to develop 'relations' with someone? Like why not put him with Zusa? And why does it seem like Zusa is Bi? Does she like like Alyssa? Oh and (possible spoiler) ever gonna give Zusa an actual mate?
