I was introduced to by a friend and a big fan of yours. I read the Mistress of Rome series and fell in love. I have The Alice Network and I am excited to see how I do with it. I know it will be great, I have always been a person who wasn't the biggest fan of WW1 and WW2 I love the history of other countries and cultures but I feel if anyone can get me into it it is you! Hi! I'm a huge fan of yours, I just finished reading Lady of the Eternal City and it was so fantastic. I was wondering what your path has been to become a historical fiction writer? I'm a history major in my last year of university and I really want to become a writer but I'm not sure which steps to take!

Hi kate!! I love your novels, particularly the mistress of Rome series. One of the big issues I've seen with historical fiction is the white washing and queer erasure of historical figures (ESP! Roman Empire era novels!) your novels are refreshing in that regard, and definitely give women a voice. How does that effect your original characters and what resources on ancient sexuality and race do you use? ,
