Crystal Esquivel asked Susan Elizabeth Phillips:

Hello Mrs. Philips as I'm reading"Ain't She Sweet"for the third time, I noticed things that I didn't notice before.Obviously because I read too fast to stop and see what I'm reading, kind of like gobbling food down without tasting it. One of the things that I noticed was the quotes of georgette heyer in the end of the chapter.See this is where I'm confused. Why is it there or what does it have to do with the book?

Susan Elizabeth Phillips So glad you enjoyed AIN”T SHE SWEET. Georgette Heyer is the founder of our modern Regency romances. She set the standard and was the author many of us fell in love with as teens. She had no idea she was giving birth to an entire genre. The quotes are both an homage to her and a tie in to whatever is currently happening between Colin and Sugar Beth.
