Patricia Bracewell Hello! I am pretty far into the writing of Book Three, 'Perilous Tides'. This morning my water engineer husband read a crucial battle scene involving a river and told me that my plan for getting my characters across would work. Yay! So yes! Emma's story will continue into Book 3. Thank you for asking!

Read "Shadow on the Crown" a couple years ago. Am up to page 12 in "The Price of Blood." Seems familiar. Does second book repeat much of what occurred in the first? Could I have previously read a book by different author about same people?

As my resident Viking expert, which I know has nothing to do with Emma, I have a question. A friend of mine recommended "The Long Ships" by Frans Bengtsson with a lovely introduction by Michael Chabon. The translator wrote about the great Ragnar Hairy Breeks. Is this our Ragnar from the Vikings TV show? What is hairy breeks? He also called Ragnar's sons terrible. Have you read this book? Thanks so much.
