Hi Michael, Looking forward to The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter. Will you be taking submissions for a short story to publish at the end of the book, as you did with The Death of Dulgath?
Michael J. Sullivan
Hey Jon,
Glad you are looking forward to The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter. I really like the way the book turned out, and I hope you will too! We really enjoyed showcasing a new author as part of our last Kickstarter (The Methuselah Treatment written by T. C. Powell). Unfortunately, we'll not be able to do that this time. The book has already gone through layout. And is just waiting for the copyedits to be placed in before it's ready to go to the printer. If we are going to have ANY hope of getting the books to people in time for Christmas, we have to roll presses on October 15, and there is no time to start the competition, get the submissions in, structural edit the story, copy edit the story, layout out, and then still get the books off to the printer.
I'd love to do this for a future project, but the deadline on Winter's Daughter doesn't allow for such. Thanks for asking.

Hi, Michael! I'm reading Wintertide at the moment and the whole series is absolutely brilliant! (I am not saying this in order to flatter you only to get my question answered, I really mean it!) So the question - If someone is trying to write a book, but in the same time is reading books he is loving and are inspiring him, will this affect the book he is writting in a way either as a story or atmosphere?
