Hello! I've just started the first few chapters of The Wounded Guardian and I find all the characters very unique and interesting. My question is, why did you decide to include a girl like Karia in the story? (She's super adorable). Thank you!

Thanks for writing and I am delighted you find Karia super adorable!
I decided to include Karia because my daughter was about the same age at the time I was writing that book. I also wanted to write a story about a man in a dark place, coming back through the love of a small child.
