Hey Nick! I finished KOTW the other day and it's probably my favorite book I've read all year. As a musician I loved the underlying musical theme. Could your put together Spotify playlist to listen to while reading this book? Personally, I listened to doom metal and stoner rock throughout the read and it fit pretty well. But I'd love to know some of the songs that come to your mind while writing these characters!

Hey Keifer! Thanks for reading it. There actually are, I believe, two Spotify playlists for KOTW at the moment.
Both are based on the 'unofficial soundtrack' I posted on my website, which can be found here: https://nicholaseames.com/soundtrack/ along with a few other details about the music influences on this book.
I hope there's some delightful surprises in there for you. Again, thanks for the message/question!

I just finished Bloody Rose which is fantastic and cannot wait for the third "band" book to come out.
While reading I had thought you were hinting at something that would be revealed later, but never did. Perhaps I was just reading too much into it or wishing for a connection. BUT I MUST KNOW. Is Tam's mother and Brune's mother the person? There was mentions of both mothers with similar qualities.

Hi, I know the characters in the book are mirrored after musicians, but who were your real-life influences? I ask, because there is a moment in the book where Clay's internal monologue speaks to Ganelon deserving the stone treatment. Later he contradicts himself, but in a good way. Was there a particular real life influence for Clay? Thanks
