Diana Shishkova
Diana Shishkova asked Rori I.:

Why do you write stories about war, when war is such a horrible thing?

Rori I. It's not my usual M.O. for sure.

But writing about war in this case was just part of the original concept. Revealing exactly why war is horrible, what war could do to people...

It's why I have some characters surviving with PTSD or depression or anxiety. Why I have a character or two to show how humanity can get twisted during war; or how monsters reveal themselves.

War is horrid.

I think Liana expresses in the beginning exactly how I feel about it:
“I’d say having fun shooting at things is a slippery slope[.]”

Sometimes books challenge us. Sometimes they reveal to us, through changing the setting just enough, what is wrong with our own world.

And it is about time the world understood that war is indeed "a horrible thing".
