A lot of people (who know me in person) have alluded to that - and there are similarities: the karate, the hostility towards prejudice, the willingness to step in and fight bullies, et cetera.
But I would also like to say that Calum is a lot better behaved than I was when I was twenty-two years old!

Yesterday I got a copy of your latest novel, The Fish that Climbed a Tree. I was showing it to some friends, and one of them said that he thought the title seemed familiar, as if he'd seen it, or a very similar one before. Strangely enough, I've had the same feeling, although I'm sure you took pains to avoid plagiarism. Could you say something about what inspired this title? Thank you.
