I was so excited to see "Millard Salter's Last Day" in a giveaway! I want to read it so much. Have your book sales been going well so far?

Jacob M. Appel The book doesn't go on sale for another month. That being said, the initial buzz has been mixed, at best. It's a far more challenging novel that most of my other works, and the rambling style (designed to capture the mindset of the protagonist) has thrown many readers for a loop. It's also apparently nothing like "A Man Called Ove," despite the comparison the editors place on the jacket. With those many caveats, I do hope you enjoy! Jacob

in ref to the Vermin Episode... I can understand about covering mirrors when one passes on, but what's the superstition (?) about stopping the clocks? Also out of curiosity sake is it a Jewish superstition, or something based in the Czech republic (or Slavic countries) and what is 'goy' (I think it was written in italics in the story)
