I truly enjoyed reading your novel Baby Teeth and was wondering if you are considering writing a sequel to it?

Zoje Stage Thank you, Patricia! Other early readers have asked me this, too. I have seriously considered it, but I haven't yet thought of a way to make a sequel both satisfying and surprising. I believe it will remain a stand alone book.

I thoroughly enjoyed your novel. As someone with Crohn's Disease, I think you did a great job of describing what it can be like to live with this chronic illness. Have you received any pushback on the way you used Crohn's Disease to make Suzette seem weak?

Thank you, Zoje, for your artistry! "Mothered" was one of the best books I've read all year, and "Baby Teeth" was entirely deserving of all its acclaim. You wrote you initially pursued a career as a filmmaker, and since Baby Teeth was optioned, I'm curious whether you're involved in the adaptation of the book into a screenplay? Do you have any desire to write a screenplay, rather than a novel, at some point? Thanks
