Amber Skye Thanks for the question, Bob!

I know a lot of authors who feel they must always have a work in progress. I realize that works for some folks. I'm not one of them. Between stories, I will frequently observe my environment and see if anything inspires me. While I'm considering doing a second installment of Kitty Katz, I am not necessarily set on it. But my history suggests that within a month of penning my last story, I usually have something pop into my mind I want to write about.

For me, though, a breather from time to time is good! Since August, I've penned four novelettes and find I'm a little tuckered out from the writing, reviewing, and editing process. I never want to produce garbage for my readers, so I will always wait until I'm moved before cranking up again.

And just so you know...I never place word count quotas on myself. It would make me hate what I do!

But don't despair! I'm sure I'll be kicking around an idea sooner than later. In the meantime, I have a total of thirteen books to choose from!
