Hello! Did you write the first book of Caraval knowing that you wanted to make a sequel to it too? And will Caraval be a duology?

Stephanie Garber Actually, I wrote Caraval as a stand alone. It wasn't until the book sold that I changed the ending. Originally it had a very different epilogue that wrapped things up rather than opened them up. But I'm really excited that my editor asked me to change that because I'm SO EXCITED for the sequel.

At the moment it's a duology, but I love this world and I'd be happy to write more books. <3
