How do you develop characters? Do you base them off of people you know or do you just make them up?

Isabel Sterling Ooh great question! I don't think I could base a character on someone I know in real life. My characters do most of their development in revisions, and I think I'd get too caught up on trying to keep them "accurate" if I had an IRL person in mind instead of serving the story. (That's totally a personal thing though!)

That said, I totally borrow interests or last names from family and friends!
