I just saw the articles pertaining to the news that the Enola Holmes series will be translated into film. First - congratulations! I was absolutely thrilled to see this, and it's amazing news! I'm going to be sitting on pins and needles to see how it turns out! Second - how did the decision to make the books into a series of films come about? I'm curious. :)

Kim, I'm thrilled too, as you can imagine. How it happened? How the decision came about I can only conjecture, but I think Millie Bobby Brown had a lot to do with it, kudos to her!

I wish I had dozens more to read. I'm interested in how long it takes you to get a good first draft done -- and if you find yourself having to do a lot or a little rewriting? Also, did the first in the series take longer to write than the subsequent books? Did any of the books "write themselves" much more quickly or more slowly than the others?
