The character of Daryl shows up in the Hollows books (I believe in Pale Demon and A Perfect Blood) but I don't recall reading any backstory on the character. She just sort of shows up. Is her backstory in some other novella or short story?

Kim Harrison She doesn't have her own story, Mrs. Crawford, no. But she could. She's an interesting enough character.
