I have less a question, more a request. I have loved your fantasy work for years, but only just devoured The Vorkosigan Saga in the recent months. I only ask, is there any way you could return to Athos? As a gay man I was thrilled to read about that planet, and even more thrilled to learn the population would gain superpowers. Could we see this?

I don't have anything new planned for the Vorkosiverse at this time, but you are free to imagine the Athosians having a happy ending. Or a happy continuing, rather. (All the happier for NOT having a Plot land on them, I suspect...)

In the Vorkosigan Saga, all the (lead) characters end up in happy, heterosexual, harmonious... satisfying relationships. Even Bel, whom Miles thought of as more man than woman, ends up with a quadi woman. In a world that is otherwise so believable, it makes it all feel less realistic, untrue to imperfect human nature. What prompted you to write them this way? How much did you consider this aspect of the stories?

Does the Duchy of Orbas correspond to a specific real-world place? I have asssumed it to be vaguely based on the various Balkan countries, positioned as it is to the south of Cedonia, which appears to be based on Greece (in your inverted version of Europe). Do you have a more specific inspiration for Orbas? And ditto for the city of Vilnoc?

A PG-rated version of Sharing Knife would be readable by any kid who could handle (for example) Wings of Fire. I'm reading large excerpts to my kid already (and Knife Children unedited). She especially likes the malice-kill scenes. Would you consider producing such a thing? I'd buy it, and I suspect I'm far from the only parent who would.
