OMG! Thank you for giving us the name of the first book in your new series. Just checked it on Amazon and read that it's set in East Texas. I live in East Texas. LOL Of course, I was going to read the book. Now I have even more incentive. Any particular reason you chose this location?

I haven't looked at the Amazon description yet, but the book is not set in east Texas. The protagonist lives in south central Texas. Close enough? I have visited Texas all my life (my mom was Texan). When I conceived the character, she was clearly from Texas.

Just a commentary for you. I've been an avid reader since my mom got me into reading books when I was 11 years old, living in military quarters in Yokohama Japan in the late 60s. I've read from most genres, moving from one to another as my interest in the previous needed a sabbatical for a while. I's a pleasure to find an author who bravely takes a step into a new direction from time to time. Keep it up, please?
