Twice before I have touched upon that issue, most recently in CLOSE YOUR EYES, HOLD HANDS. The title comes from Newton, CT. The other time is my 2004 novel, BEFORE YOU KNOW KINDNESS.
I have never written directly about a school shooting, because so many writers have done that powerfully -- most notably Jodi Picoult and Lionel Shriver.
But one never knows. Certainly it is a topic that is deeply important to me. So, we'll see.
In the meantime? Thank you. Truly.

I started reading Close You Eyes, Hold Hands last night. I can't imagine a leaf igloo would keep anybody warm in the kind of weather that we have been experiencing lately. I'd like to know if you have a set writing ritual when you are working on a book. Do you write for a certain amount of hours per day, or at certain times of the day? I'd love any time-management advice you can give. Thanks.
