Hi I'm now reading the Ascendance trilogy and I specifically like the False Prince what inspired you to write it?

Hi John - Thanks for asking. The False Prince was inspired from a song by Eddie Vedder called "Guaranteed." Lyrics in the song said, "I knew all the rules but the rules did not know me, guaranteed." I wondered about the kind of character who might say something like that and the answer to the question gave me Sage. Once I had Sage, I had exactly the story I wanted to tell.
