Michael J. Sullivan:
Do you have a timeline for the new series (Arrow of Death (The Rise and Fall Book #1)) as of yet?
Michael J. Sullivan
Hey Conal, I'm so excited to hear that people are looking forward to the new series. As you may know, I write the entire series before I publish any of the books. The plan is to have them done by this time next year (I'm already 60% through book #1 and it's a planned trilogy). Now, that's the writing part, the more difficult question is when will they hit the market. The big deciding factor is the timing of the release of the last three books of the Legends of the First Empire. I want to get them out before I start publishing the new series. We are still in negotiation with the publisher on release dates for those books but once they are locked down I think we can start thinking about timing on The Rise and the Fall series.

Hey Michael! First off, I want to say how much I enjoyed Age of Myth. It not only makes me look forward to the other books in the series, but also makes me want to dive into your other worlds. What advice would you give writers who have ideas for a novel, but are scared to start or don't know where to start? Whether it's a fear of failure or worry that the idea isn't flushed out enough, what would you tell them?

Hello, Michael! I recently devoured your Riyria series and enjoyed it immensely. I've also been impressed with how active you seem to be with your fans and the community here at Goodreads, which drove me to ask this question. I'm an aspiring amateur writer myself, but I've been having trouble getting feedback on my work. Do you have any advice on methods or avenues through which to ask for comments or reviews?
