Do you think that Mrs. Doubtfire was one of your pioneering works, as it discusses divorce and has earned multiple awards and was turned into a major motion picture?
Anne Fine
It didn't win nearly as many awards as Goggle Eyes or Flour Babies or Bill's New Frock. But it was certainly seen as pioneering as regards the discussion of divorce from the child's point of view. I was well known as an author to teachers, librarians and readers before this book. But there is no doubt that a film of that level of success does introduce any author's name to a wider audience than simply the committed and informed readers that they had before.

I didn't have enough space to type the other qustions so i had to write them separetly: 2. If you could change anything about any of the characters then who would that be and what would you change? Why? 3. Do you haveany affection towards Tulip's character? Thank you very much for taking your time and i really appreciate what you do to keep us enterained!
