Having now read all your novels, I’m more convinced than ever you’d appreciate Miyazaki’s long Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind manga. (Its story overlaps with only the beginning of the movie.) He spent 11 years on it, probably his best work. Vivid characters, deeply moving, purposeful world building, nothing cliché or even particularly familiar. If you’re exploring some manga, why not?

I just wanted to say "Thank You". The Vorkosigan books, Cordelia and Miles and even Ivan, have enriched my life in infinite ways. The Sharing Knife books were beautifully written stories that I LOVE. I feel I would be a less full person had I not discovered your work. Any new fantasy worlds bubbling in your brain?

It's occurred to me that, when Penric stays anywhere for a while, there may be a significant decrease in the local population of bugs and vermin. I'm no ecologist, but I've heard about the dramatic and unexpected consequences of reintroducing wolves into the Yellowstone National Park; perhaps wiping out pests could have other unexpected ecological consequences. Is this an interesting thought?
