What happened to the Sea of Flames stone at the end of the book? Was it still in the sea?

David Greene Go back and read chapter one, the old man telling the children about the stone.

Susan Baruch Chapter one? Which chapter do you mean? What date? Who is the old man and who are the children? I cannot find the passage you refer to.

Carol Susan - there are thirteen sections in the book, each one numbered and identified with a date. The number of chapters in a section varies widely.
