Goodreads asked Michael Sliter:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Michael Sliter I honestly haven't struggled with writer's block too much. I think with time being so slim for writing, when I have a chance to write, I've already figured out where I want to go. I think about the story when I drive, exercise, or do chores.

The other thing is that, if I'm not sure where to go, I just... keep writing. One of my English teachers wrote, every day on the board, that "Writing is mind travel, destination unknown." As cheesy as it seemed at the time, part of the fun is letting the story unfold. For instance, in Wisdom Lost, I had planned one ending for a main POV character. While writing the last chapter, I found it went in a very different direction. It became organic and natural. And fun!
