Who is your most favorite non-american SF/F/YA author?

Charlaine Harris You know you can ask all these questions in one posting, right? Jodi Taylor and Daniel O'Malley are my favorite writers outside of the US. The best advice I can give is, finish your book. Don't keep trying other things until you finish one. I did not decide I would write vampire novels. The books with vampires in them are about Sookie, or the people of Midnight. The vampires are there to make a point. I read other writers' books all the time, but must not read unpublished novels by writers who are not represented, for obvious reasons.. I have no opinion about unicorns, I have written MANY novels without vampires, I don't have an opinion about UFOs, and I don't understand the fanboy question.
