Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Tony Piazza I drew on the real events of the actress/ comedienne Thelma Todd's mysterious death in 1935 for my novel "A Murder Amongst Angels." Thinly disguised, it brings up all the discrepancies of that true-life investigation, and examines the influence of the Hollywood studio system, police corruption, and political intrigue.... not to mention, the mob, who had their finger on who did what, in Hollywood.
