What was your creative inspiration in coming up with character names for the main and secondary characters of the Flight Attendant, (I. e the flight attendant Cassie Bowden and her younger sister Rosemary)?

Thanks for asking, Marc.
Cassie -- or Cassandra -- was a name for me that had significance. Turn to the section of novel after she and Ani have met with the FBI in downtown Manhattan, and read her ruminations on the character in Greek mythology. That is why I gave the flight attendant that name.
Rosemary is a secondary character and I spent less time thinking about her name. But I like the name Rosemary. I can think of four or five people I know with that name, including one of my aunts. I am guessing I chose it after seeing it in a baby name book or the phone book or any of the other sources I use for secondary names.

Wow Chris! I love the description of THE PRINCESS OF LAS VEGAS, and I will absolutely get my hands on that. It sounds very intriguing. I hope you didn't take offense when I said you have a sensitivity about you that while reading your books, I wouldn't be able to tell if you are female or male! That was meant to be a compliment! My husband told me that was awful to say. Please will u take that as a high compliment?

Thank you for The Sandcastle Girls. It's so beautifully written. I'm amazed that this horror happened and that many Turks don't even know that the genocide ever happened. Over a million people died by such horrible. barbarism and hardly anyone knows it. I'm so glad that you have brought this to light. Do you find many people who know the history of what happened in Aleppo in 1915?
