Thanks Chris for your response. I know I definitely loved your allusions to Greek mythology and popular culture that were present in The Flight Attendant. One quick question: Was your Big Bang Theory reference in The Flight Attendant(p, 317) a happy coincidence, given that, (in my opinion) the wonderfully talented Kaley Cuoco is slated to play Cassie Bowden?

It was just a happy coincidence. I love the show and have for years, and so many times on so many book tours I have been grateful to have found reruns of the show in syndication in whatever city I am in. And so when I needed a program for Cassie to watch in Rome, it was natural I picked The Big Bang Theory.

Why didn't we ask our grandparents before it was too late? My grandparents who escaped the death march never talked about it. The horrors were too vivid. Years after my grandfather died, I found out that he & all the villagers were locked in a church and the Turks burned it down. He was the only one who escaped. My Grandmother had 1 family portrait, how did she keep that on the death march? Why didn't we ask?
