Lynn asked Liesl Shurtliff:

I love your Rump series! I have always wanted to be an author, but I suffer from lack of inspiration, and my writing is really boring. Do you have any tips on how I can improve my writing? Where do you get inspiration?

Liesl Shurtliff I hear you! This is not as uncommon as you might think. Many would-be writers start out feeling like they have very little inspiration. I have a theory that it's because their inner-muse doesn't fully trust them yet. Inspiration follows perspiration. You have to work for it, prove you're willing to put in the effort, and that means writing some stuff that might actually be kind of boring. You will get there, but the truth is inspiration is inside of you and all around you. Write about things you care about, things you are curious about, things that make you angry, things you don't understand. In a nutshell, write about what makes you FEEL.
