Hey Michael, I have seen you say in the past that you are a big fan of Stephen King and particularly The Stand. Have you ever thought about writing a horror novel, or more horror oriented novel? Or even fantasy/horror combo?

Hey Nick, Thanks for asking. I have! I have a couple of ideas running around in my head and once I get through the projects I'm pretty far along on, I think I'll give this a try. I know that a lot of people think of me as a "fantasy" writer, but I don't see myself that way. It's just that it was my fantasy that was picked up first. I had written 13 novels before The Crown Conspiracy (my first published book) and several of those were horror. One of my goals is to release a book in all the genres that I'm interested in. Early this year I started that by putting out Hollow World (science fiction). And I have an idea for a mystery/thriller to hit that market. The only ones I don't think I'll do anything in is erotica and romance as I don't think I could create something in those genres that would be successful...it's just not a strong suite of mine. But other genres - absolutely. I like mixing it up and stretching myself by attempting tasks beyond my comfort level. So yeah...by all means I want to do some horror writing. I just need to get some time to do so.
Thanks again for asking.

I was told recently that editors are disliking the use of euphemisms. They don't want you to use anything other than pronouns and the character's name. So, in other words, you can't refer to one of your characters at the 'big warrior', or call someone as 'Fred's mother'. This also goes for body parts. You have to call an eye an eye, you can't call it an orb or any other descriptive word. Have you run into this?
