Where did you get the idea for the different clans in your novel, specifically the clan that everyone thinks doesn't exist, and the mythology behind the various characters' actions? Such interesting characters and narrative and I love Eelyn!

Hi Bailey! When I was writing the Herja, they were coming to me in a very mystical way which I loved. I decided to run with it and then leave their definition up to the interpretation of the reader. The other clans, I tried to think of through the lens of their god and their own mythology, which was really fun to develop. There is definitely a historical undertone to the entire novel, but a lot of it is from the woods of my own imagination. So happy you love Eelyn, I love her too!
