(view spoiler)[loved AO till my org leader died of cancer, then we kinda drifted apart. As for the books, only problem i had was how after that nightmare start he didn't go back for 2 days. couple hours walk is np, woman controlling the undead dying in as little as 1 day very much was a problem but he had no urgency at all. that bit of plot felt forced? been a good read for 2 books so far though (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I loved Anarchy Online (aka Chaos Online in the series). At the time it was smocking graphics and had a fun storyline. The Syndicate and Genele are actually a part of some IRL griefing me and my friends had to contend with. Unfortunately, I forget the tards real guild and asshat leader's name or I'd have used them in the storyline. We had a guild named The Omni Golf and CountryClub and were a friendly play-hard group. There was a guild that owned certain areas and was filled with Game Developers that tweaked the game to their advantage. We really did level up a bunch of MPs and started taking down major world bosses all with pet classes that could cast and fight like warriors. Then we got hit with the nerf bat. Bastards ;)
Anyway, to answer the question, I tried to write how a lot of storylines work for me in games. I start working on a quest line and then you get pulled off in another direction. It's one of the fun parts of a MMORPG style game. Startum left to get supplies and the ability to heal for his people and to save Rayne. He actually had a quest for it once he handled the pressing emergency for food, clothing and shelter. The cool stuff about the dungeon and meeting everyone was that it helped him get more supplies for his people, better geared and he got a chance to explore the dungeon.
The dungeon in book 2 was something I was of two minds about. On one hand, I felt like I had to have a traditional beginning dungeon and on the other, they can be boring. Trying to keep the story moving in something like that is hard, which was why he never got a chance to farm some rings.
The Boss lady dying and having her zombies go feral was just a thought I had to make the return trip a little more interesting. Besides, I've seen similar quests like that in the various games I've played. I felt like it was a good way to better introduce feral zombies too. Was it rushed, it's hard to say. I had to knock the old broad off either way :) Wait, did I say that out loud?!? I meant to say the old Guild Leaders wife was scheduled to die and that's just when it happened. Yeah, that sounds better :) (hide spoiler)]

Not a question just feedback but idk any other way to contact you. First I love that you gave a nod to AO, too few understand. I might of been some of the reason absorb shields got nerfed because of my nt with none into health so the hp capped pvp dmg did nothing to my shield.. Then my 49 froob in non OE lvl 150 gear or my nanomage enf thats had docs fall asleep on me doing hecks?
