For my book club's Xmas book swap we need to provide a book written by an author who lives in their old home town and I believe you live in mine! Would you recommend starting people with F&F or A Time of Dread? I'm tempted to get A Time of Dread, simply because I haven't read it yet. ps. I don't suppose there's any signed editions floating around EB?

John Gwynne Hi Caroline, thanks for the message.
I think you could start with either - Malice or A Time of Dread. Both are separate stories, although if you start with A Time of Dread, then there is a certain amount of spoilers for the first series, as those books are the history upon which the new series is built upon.
And yes, there are usually signed copies of my books in Eastbourne's Waterstones, as I pop in there fairly regularly to sign their stock. :)

I have your remaining Faithful and the Fallen books on my shelf ready to devour. 1) Are you currently working on or creating a new world/saga in which we can delve into and enjoy soon? 2) Although you will conclude the epic tale with Wrath (if it is not spoiler worthy) will you be returning to The Banished Lands in any of your future works. There was a shorter wait between Valour and Ruin than it was between Malice and Valour. Can we expect the fourth one at about the same schedule? Because if that's so I have to start working on that time-machine I got lying in the garage because the wait is most likely going to kill me :D
