Hi Glynn - just finished City in the Sky and want to put my vote in for continuing that series. Here's my question: why aren't more characters you write, esp. in Starship Mage, parents (and particularly, mothers)?

In Starship's Mage specifically, I would say that few characters are parents because the series has primarily focused on people in careers (long-term merchant service, military service, high-tier politics, etc) that don't lend themselves well to settling down and having a family.
In general, few of my characters are likely to be parents because I don't have children of my own so I don't feel I can really explain the mindset as well.
