Michael J. Sullivan:
Will there be more books in the Riyria Chronicles? If so, any time frame on the third book?

EDIT: 05/4/2016 - Needed to update the answer to this question - the original answer is still kept in its entirety below.
The third book is titled: The Death of Dulgath and its ebook was in mid-October 2015, and the hardcover and audio versions in mid-December. A trade paperback will be released once the bulk of the hardcovers have sold out, but in the meantime, you can buy copies of it directly from my store (http://riyria.blogspot.com/p/store.html).
Hey Cordelia,
There will be another Riyria Chronicle in the not too distant future. I've been very protective over Royce and Hadrian and sensitive about having them overstay their welcome. The results are pretty clear that people want more, and I certainly have more stories to tell. I just finished up three books of a four book series, and I'm putting that project aside for the moment. I'm planning the plot of the next Chronicle book while I'm also outlining my next story (which will be a standalone fantasy tale). I generally write the most during the fall/winter/spring. So once the weather turns colder, I will be writing about my two favorite rogues. As far as when to expect the books to be on the shelves...that is harder to say. I have no control over the publishers' schedule, and it could be nine months to a year and a half after they get it, assuming, of course, they want to put it out. But even if they don't, I would self-publish. So one way or the other you should see a new Riyria Chronicle "soonish." In the meantime, I will have a Riyria short story coming out in a new anthology. I don't have the full details on that yet, but it should be announced with a Kickstarter soon. Thanks for asking.

Hi Micheal. I just finished reading the Age of Empyre ebook and I have to say it was just brilliant. It answers so many questions and creates so many more. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next series and I hope that it tells us how the Empire falls. My question is, will you also write about what ultimately happens between Trilos and Turin?

Hi Michael, which one of your books can you recommend to read first? I usually do not read fantasy novels, but I was quite thrilled by the way you wrote description of your books. Fascinating language, I would even say hypnotizing—it makes one to read more. Thank you in advance, D.
