Neeraja asked Chris Grabenstein:

Hello there! I am a really big fan of your Mr. Lemoncello series. I really enjoyed the books and I can't wait for the next one to come out. After reading the books, I wondered how you come up with the clues. They are so creative and I definitely know that I would not be able to do something that clever. I was also wondering if you would be starting any new series?

Chris Grabenstein When you write a mystery, you write it BACKWARD. That is, you know the answer at the end before you even begin. All the clues, then, are designed to help the reader figure out that solution. It's like a teacher writing an exam. They know the answers when they write the questions.
