Hi Julia, How do you improve your writing, particularly your grammar? I find myself at times making the occasional grammar error. How do you improve your storytelling?

Julia Phillips Hi Michael, thanks for your question! Everyone makes the occasional grammar error, so you're not alone there :) I would recommend 1) reading grammar and usage guides to keep up with evolving rules (e.g., THE ELEMENTS OF STYLE, DREYER'S ENGLISH), 2) reading your work out loud after you write it to catch typos, awkwardness, etc., and 3) sharing your work with other people to get their editorial feedback. Improving our writing is a lifelong endeavor. Wishing you lots of luck as you continue!

I recently finished reading Mastering the Art of Soviet Cooking by von Bremzen, and parts of it made me think about your book- Russian life and Soviet nostalgia. Was wondering if you could recommend other books (fiction or non) about Russian life?
