Hi, I love reading your books. They hold so much inspiration and are truly remarkable! I was wondering, what first started the idea for the world of the Carpathian novels?

Christine Feehan I've always written. Since I was a child. But, when my son died in an accident I became distraught and withdrawn. Like any mother would. I had always made up stories for Calvert and he loved them. And in my grief I needed to keep telling stories. These would be about people who were immortal. About finding love and hope. I wrote them for him. And my friend Kathie convinced me to turn in Dark Prince to see if any publisher would take it. At the time no one was taking vampire stories. But, a publisher took a chance on it.
