Elevator Pitch sounds like it's going to be another "hold on to your seat" thriller! Where/how did you get the "germ of an idea" for this novel?

Linwood Barclay I was listening to the CBC Toronto news on the radio and heard that the city had not nearly enough elevator inspectors, and the idea was just instantly there: a serial killer who plies his trade by sabotaging elevators.
