Hi! I love your books! I was wondering how it feels to have your books be on a potential award winner list? In my school district we have the Troybery award, and I loved both of your books on the list for this year, Resistance and The Traitors Game.

Hi Maddie - I was very excited to have both RESISTANCE and THE TRAITOR'S GAME listed for the Troyberry award. It's an amazing thing to see something that started only as an idea in my head get considered for an award - it means the story has become something bigger than itself, because now it can take root in the minds and imaginations of young readers.

do you have any characters like Jenny who like to pop up in the middle of stories? My character Jenny seemed to do that a lot usually just like a reference or a character says something she would say but the thing is I did not create Jenny until now....so, was that a character who wanted to be created? what do I do with Jenny?
